chaz,s trip to the matariki show.
P Today TR8,TR9 went on the bus to the Matariki show. When we got there, we went into this small room. It was pretty dark but when the people came out they were loud.
L It took 4 weeks to get the show all done for all of the schools.
M I didn't like the other schools because they were tapping on our backs and the show was too short.

Tu Hawakii-Te Manawa Matariki
I enjoyed the performance because it was fantastic.Also their hakas were amazing.They had great singing too.
I did not like the fog because it was annoying .some schools were naughty because they kept kicking me.The show was too short.
I liked the 7 sisters because they were funny.It was cool when Te Mauri always returned every 7 seasons to give a taongo to her mokos.It took 4 weeks to learn their play.

THE MATARIKI SHOW. By Aorangi
POSITIVE: What I loved about the show is that it was very interesting how the people on the stage talked about the two tribes and how our tipuna could navigate the stars.
MINUS: What I didn't like about the was that it was very crouded and people were kicking my back, it very annoying.
INTERESTING: I was interested in the story that they told about one of the seven sisters named Te Mauri .And how she became a star and seven seasons of matariki she would visit her mokos and give them a taonga.

Durying the matariki show I enjoyed the fantastic show of the matariki and it was amzing how the actors acted the matariki show from the olden days when they read the stars to instead of going on gogle the interesting thing about the show is that it had so much detail when they where doing it but it should have been longer and more smoke.

Positive
The singers were great! The way they set up the entire performance was perfect! Everything about the play was perfect! The characters were hilarious! And the costumes looked so realistic , it made me think that we were actually at Matariki. In my own opinion I think that the Matariki performance as great and totally worth $6.00.

The characters only had 4 weeks to both know and practise the Matariki performance. The play writer only had 3days to write the entire play! In the olden Maori days, the people used the stars for navigation. Te Mauri- returns every 7 seasons to visit he mokos.

The schools both in front of us and behind we're being naughty and rude. They weren't paying attention and we're kicking us. The we're talking during the performance which was rude and ignorant. The show could have been longer and had more singing and action in it. The smoke was hurting my eyes.

* The positive thing is Te Mauri, she had a nice voice. When she was singing I was blown away. I couldn't believe it how she was singing to Koru. It was so "AWESOME" ( what a beautiful voice )

P-It was very cool when koru come on to the stage ,because he was very funny and he made the show more likeable,he really livened the Show.It was amaizing in the beginning when they were moving the statues and doing the haka that was my favourite part.
M-The show was quite short I think they could have added on more cool things , also it was annoying when the school behind us kept on licking us and they spat on us which was very annoying .
I-It was very interesting to know how our tipuna navigated back then ,also how the story of matariki come to life I really Injoyed that part ,also to know the actors backgrounds.

positive- I loved how the actors were very welcoming and how they loved doing what the are suppose to do.
